Italian Ambassador Hands Over List of Measures Taken by Italy to Radončić

(Patria) - As the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the President of the Coordination Body of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Protection and Rescue, Fahrudin Radončić was today presented by the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to BiH, Nicola Minasi, with an overview of all measures that Italy has introduced and is implementing to stop the coronavirus pandemic in that country.

Ambassador Minasi believes it is important for our country to learn from Italy's experiences and his recommendation for all citizens in BiH is that the most important thing is to stay in their homes and stop any kind of movement. Minister Radončić thanked the ambassador and stated that, as soon as possible, the Italian recommendations and experiences will be forwarded to the members of the BiH Coordination Body for Protection and Rescue, competent entity crisis headquarters, as well as the Brčko District and cantonal headquarters.

The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fahrudin Radončić, also received the Head of the European Union Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU Special Representative, Ambassador Johann Sattler, in Sarajevo today.
The current situation caused by the outbreak of coronavirus was discussed. Ambassador Sattler informed Minister Radončić that the EU is considering how to help the Western Balkan countries, including BiH. The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to gather information on the most urgent needs in the country.

Minister Radončić informed Sattler about the situation and the measures being taken by institutions in BiH. He emphasized that it is currently very important for Bosnia and Herzegovina to ensure the transit of trucks and goods through EU countries, in order to ensure the uninterrupted supply of the population and medical institutions.
