French Ambassador Rousson meets Izetbegović: Macron's visit to BiH would be of exceptional importance

BiH Presidency member Bakir Izetbegović received newly appointed French Ambassador Guillaume Rousson in an introductory visit.

They discussed the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as possibilities for further development and deepening of bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

Ambassador Rousson emphasised that France strongly supports BiH's path towards European integration and NATO, as well as the implementation of the Reform Agenda, with the aim of further improving the economic situation in BiH.

Ambassador Rousson stressed that economic and cultural cooperation between France and BiH will be the focus of his mandate.

The interlocutors agreed that a visit by French President Emmanuel Macron to Sarajevo would be of exceptional importance. BiH Presidency member Bakir Izetbegović wished Ambassador Rousson a successful mandate.
