
Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH Enes Karić and his deputy Đuro Knežević received the newly appointed Ambassador of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, H.E. Mohammed Meraimi, on a courtesy visit today.
Director Karić welcomed the Ambassador and wished him a successful tenure and stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He informed the guest about the responsibilities and organizational structure of the Directorate, as well as the role it plays in the security sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Activities undertaken and continuously implemented by the Directorate to build its capacities were presented, reflected in the procurement of material-technical resources and the organization of training for police officers.
Ambassador Mohammed Meraimi expressed respect for the police institutions in BiH and gave full support to the future planned activities of the Directorate, as well as the efforts made in fulfilling its role in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed hope for strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries, particularly through the exchange of experiences and knowledge in the field of security.
