US Embassy: 'Disassociation' is another name for secession, RS is not a state, and we will defend the integrity and territorial unity of BiH!

(Patria) - "Disassociation" of the Republika Srpska from Bosnia and Herzegovina is another name for secession and as such is unconstitutional and anti-Dayton, is the response of the Embassy of the United States of America in Sarajevo to an inquiry from the Oslobođenje portal.

Bosnia and Herzegovina is not a community of states, and the Republika Srpska is not and has never been a state, the Embassy points out.

- "Disassociation" of the Republika Srpska or secession is dangerous, irresponsible, and threatens the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and multi-ethnic character of BiH. These are key US interests that we will defend, among other things, by holding accountable those who engage in destabilizing and anti-Dayton activities, such as those mentioned, said the US Embassy.
