US Embassy: Krešić disqualified himself for any position in public RTV service with shameful statements!

(Patria) - The US Embassy released a comment regarding the statements of Zoran Krešić, who, we remind you, is a candidate from HDZ for a member of the Management Board of Federal Radio Television.

"The United States strongly condemns and rejects the recent comments by a candidate for the Federation of BiH TV steering board. His shameful calls for further division of Bosnia and Herzegovina and blockade of the functioning of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are destructive, irresponsible, and inconsistent with building a common, multi-ethnic future within Euro-Atlantic institutions.

Not only are his reported calls for the return of Herceg-Bosna to duty dangerous and anti-Dayton, they are offensive and regressive, but in our opinion, they make him unqualified for any position in the public RTV service.

Political leaders must stop making deals that undermine the functionality of institutions and ignore the interests of all constituent peoples for the sake of advancing their own narrow political interests," the US Embassy stated.

We remind you that in an audio recording provided to newsrooms, Krešić said, among other things, the following:

“If I represented something, as a journalist, I would absolutely block the entire country and no political or any other process would happen. I want Herceg Bosna to return (…) It is very important that the Croatian political intellectual elite, the Croatian national, cultural, scientific, and if you will, church elite, have absolutely supported HNS and Croatian politics, concluding regarding Herceg Bosna, and for me and for the people, Herceg Bosna is sacred, everyone should be proud of it and all that it did, regardless of court rulings and decisions. I expect HDZ members and everyone in power to work on, to put it mildly, on the destruction of the Federation and its weakening as much as possible, because if it were up to me, it would be a strategic interest of Croats.”

Many associations reacted, such as 'Čuvai Bosne', and the Association of Victims and Witnesses of Genocide filed a report with the Federal Police Administration against Mostar journalist Zoran Krešić for his statements calling for the return of the so-called Herceg-Bosna and expressing expectations for the "destruction of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina".
