US Embassy and OSCE condemn attack on Bosniaks in Stolac: Urge swift investigation and perpetrators brought to justice

(Patria) - The United States most strongly condemns last night's act of violence and intimidation against four young Bosniak men near Stolac. The United States condemns all acts of violence and intolerance as they erode BiH’s social cohesion and undermine its security and stability, the US Embassy announced.

"Last night's attack was particularly horrific. We call on BiH authorities to swiftly and thoroughly investigate this brutal act and ensure it does not become another unsolved violent incident for which no one is punished. We also call on the country's political leaders to promote and create an environment conducive to peace and reconciliation," the statement said.

The OSCE Mission to BiH also issued a statement, most strongly condemning yesterday's brutal attack on young men in Stolac.

"The Mission calls for a swift and thorough investigation of the incident, including the determination of motives, and expects the perpetrators to be brought to justice as a priority. No one is safe until everyone is safe," the OSCE Mission stated.
