US Embassy: American company to develop and operate the Southern Gas Interconnection

(Patria) - The US Embassy commented after today's meeting between the US Chargé d'Affaires in BiH John Ginkela and the leaders of the ruling coalition in the Federation of BiH, where further progress was discussed towards ensuring a reliable and predictable energy supply for the region through the Southern Interconnection gas pipeline. An American company will develop and operate this gas pipeline.

The leaders of the FBiH coalition agreed on the next steps regarding the draft international agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, which will enable the delivery of American liquefied natural gas to BiH via Croatia.

The administration of President Trump strongly supports the Southern Interconnection project and looks forward to further, rapid progress with partners in BiH on the realization of this project, the US Embassy announced.
