US Embassy: Any solution must fully implement European Court decisions

(Patria) - The United States Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina commented after the talks between BiH leaders and international representatives regarding electoral law changes in Neum.

“Any solution must fully implement the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, which is an obligation under the Dayton Agreement. All parties are responsible for full implementation, and any solution must be in line with EU standards.

The expertise of the Venice Commission in this process is invaluable. We appreciate those parties who have chosen to dedicate themselves to this difficult but necessary conversation about the reforms needed to move the country forward. Compromise is what ensures the Euro-Atlantic future of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” stated the US Embassy.
