BiH Embassy in Italy: No BiH citizens on official list of victims of the death ferry

No citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina are on the official list of victims of the death ferry, confirmed to the Bosnian news agency Patria from the embassy in Rome.

A large number of passengers died on the Italian ferry Norman Atlantic, which caught fire on Sunday while traveling from Greece to Italy. Although official data indicate about a dozen fatalities, sources suggest the number could be much higher, as there were reportedly a large number of illegal passengers on board at the time of the accident.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, and experts warn that the fire was started by stowaways who lit a fire to keep warm, which then got out of control.

From the BiH Embassy in Rome, they state that no BiH citizen is on the official list of victims of the ferry, and it is unlikely that any of our citizens were among the illegal passengers who died, writes Patria.
