Alkalaj presented the most important parts of Schmidt's report

(Patria) - Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN, Sven Alkalaj, tonight read parts of the report by High Representative Christian Schmidt in the UN Security Council, which did not receive the support of Russia and China to present a report.

 Alkalaj took the opportunity to read the key parts of the report by High Representative Christian Schmidt, which the public is already familiar with, given that the media yesterday published his report on the situation in BiH in the past six months, or since he took office as the head of the OHR. 

We remind you that Schmidt wrote in the report that Bosnia and Herzegovina is facing the greatest existential threat of the post-war period.

"Persistent and serious challenges to the foundations of the General Framework Agreement for Peace by the entity authorities of Republika Srpska, led by the largest party SNSD (Alliance of Independent Social Democrats) headed by member of the Presidency of BiH Milorad Dodik, threaten not only the peace and stability of the country but also the region. If the international community does not respond to this, it can lead to the annulment of the Peace Agreement," are the introductory words.

He further states that the peak of the crisis escalation in 2021 was the move by Milorad Dodik, whom he calls the de facto leader of RS, although the entity has an elected president - the call for the entity to unilaterally withdraw from long-standing agreements on the transfer of entity competencies to the state in the areas of defense, indirect taxes, and the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC), and for the entity to "reclaim" what he claims are usurped constitutional competencies in the areas of state judiciary, law enforcement, and intelligence services.

Schmidt warns the UN Security Council about Dodik's announced plans, which mean the withdrawal of members of the Armed Forces of BiH stationed in RS, the takeover of BiH Armed Forces facilities in the territory of RS, and the establishment of the RS Army, which would allegedly consist of army members withdrawing from the BiH Armed Forces.

High Representative Christian Schmidt seriously warns the international community that all of the above is equivalent to secession without declaration.

Schmidt informs the UN Security Council that although Dodik recently stated that his actions are not aimed at provoking conflict, he also warned that any attempt to dismantle state-level judicial institutions or law enforcement agencies would be met with force, reports Klix.
