Alkalaj on UN vote: Some countries disappointed us

(Patria) - BiH Ambassador to the US Sven Alkalaj commented for Hayat Television on today's adoption of the Resolution on the Srebrenica Genocide.

Alkalaj says he is proud to be a member of the BiH delegation today, given the convincing victory.

- Some countries disappointed us. But this will go down in the history of the UN, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina.

We expected the countries of the Islamic Conference to be in favour. We will not name them now. However, that is international politics.

The vote was overwhelmingly in favour of the countries that voted against. The success of the Resolution's adoption is also evident from the fact that other countries are approaching us and congratulating us on this victory - said Alkalaj.
