Alispahić for Klix: They can expel me from SDA, but they can't expel SDA from me

The Party of Democratic Action must make room for younger, competent staff who will be given a real role, not just be mere statistics, stated Bakir Alispahić, former Minister of Internal Affairs of RBiH and head of the dissolved SDA Security Committee, in an interview for the "Klix" portal, reports the BH News Agency Patria (NAP). In an extensive interview for the most read portal in BiH, he spoke about all current issues and his position in the SDA.

- As one of my party colleagues who also has problems with the leadership recently said, they can expel me from SDA, but they can't expel SDA from me - Alispahić said. According to him, the upcoming elections are of great importance for the country, and thus for the SDA.

- I think we will achieve a good election result. I am convinced that we could achieve an outstanding result if we found the strength to replace a number of staff from the party leadership with new, uncompromised people, ready to give their energy, knowledge, and capabilities for the good of the state and all its citizens, not for their own enrichment and positioning. The general opinion is that SDA is the best party with a bad leadership. With exceptions and honest, decent staff - Alispahić said.  

Speaking about the dismissal of the Security Committee, he said that "the act of dissolving the Committee in this way represents a demonstration of the brutal attitude of individuals towards me and some other SDA members." Alispahić also says that the reasoning for this decision showed how the current leadership completely misunderstands the role of that party committee.

- I remind you that this SDA Committee does not have and has never had any operational responsibilities and that it could not in any way be aware of, influence, or do anything that falls under the jurisdiction of law enforcement agencies. With this act, democracy is de facto abolished within the party, and the "new" leadership is showing its true face and the methods it intends to introduce in its work - he added, among other things, saying that it is "difficult for him to accept that we have reached a state where in the party, and even in society, it is counted and monitored who "drinks coffee" with whom or has any kind of relationship".

When asked by the editor of the Klix portal, Faruk Vele, about his personal ambitions in the SDA, Alispahić said:

- If I had political ambitions, I have fulfilled them through all these years and positions. Currently, I am dedicated to scientific work which yields certain results and provides me with intellectual and spiritual satisfaction. My position is such that I want nothing from the party except honest and fair treatment towards me, without sabotage and framing. In return, I am ready to do what is necessary for the state and SDA within the limits defined by my capabilities, values, and principles - he emphasized.

Alispahić also advocated for the clarification of all political murders in BiH.

- Every criminal offense, especially the most serious ones, must be clarified, and perpetrators identified, as well as potential masterminds. Crimes with a political background have particular weight. I believe that the time has come to inform the public about the perpetrators and masterminds of the murders of Nedžad Ugljen, Jozo Leutar, Sefer Halilović's wife Mediha, her brother Edin, and others - Alispahić told Klix, NAP reports.
