Aleksandra Obradović elected Vice-President of HJPC

(Patria) - Aleksandra Obradović, judge at the Basic Court of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has been elected as the new Vice-President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina (HJPC BiH/Council) by a unanimous decision of the present members of the HJPC BiH, at the Council session held on September 27, 2023.

Aleksandra Obradović was born in Brčko, where she completed primary and secondary school. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Novi Sad in 1994, earning the title of graduate lawyer.

She passed the judicial exam before the Commission for Conducting the Judicial Exam at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Serbia in Belgrade in 1996.

She completed her traineeship at the Basic Court of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the period from 1994 to 1996. After that, from 1996 to 1997, she worked as a professional associate, also at the Basic Court in Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She worked as a judge at the Basic Court of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1997 to 1998, after which she worked as a judge at the Basic Court in Bijeljina until 2000. From 2000 to 2004, she worked as a member of the legal representation office in the Government of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while from 2004 continuously until today she has been working as a judge at the Basic Court of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She participated in numerous trainings and seminars, including those organized by CEST.

She was elected as a member of the HJPC BiH on April 23, 2021, by the Judicial Commission of Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
