SARAJEVO, (Patria) - According to data on the AirVisual website, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Sarajevo was as high as 606, making it the most polluted city in the world again.
In just four hours, the air has become twice as polluted. Cities like Delhi, Dhaka, and Ulaanbaatar were left behind Sarajevo...
The Government of Sarajevo Canton declared an "alert" episode at today's emergency telephone session, prohibiting the movement of cars with diesel engines meeting EURO3 standards or lower in city zone A.
The measures being taken within the "alert" episode are as follows:
- In Zone A: Prohibition of movement for cars with diesel engines meeting EURO3 standards or lower, with increased controls by inspection bodies with the assistance of the Ministry of Internal Affairs bodies, and prohibition of movement for freight vehicles with engines meeting standards lower than EURO3 in accordance with Article 95 of the Law on Traffic Regulation in the Sarajevo Canton area.
