Active members of the MUP of SBK and FUP posed with a flag that read 'MUP of the Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna'

(Patria) - "Ministry of Internal Affairs of HR HB" was written on the flag behind which active and retired members of the MUP of the Central Bosnia Canton (SBK) and the Federal Police Administration (FUP) posed at the beginning of July this year.

The words HR HB are, in fact, an abbreviation for the Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna, a para-state that was designated as the result of a joint criminal enterprise by the UN court in The Hague.

The photograph was taken in the area of Novi Travnik, and on the flag, besides the coat of arms with the checkerboard, there was also the inscription - Police Station Novi Travnik, writes Istraga.ba.

According to the identification made by Istraga with its sources from the MUP of SBK, the photograph includes Robert Gazibarić, commander of the Busovača Police Station. Gazibarić, as a cadre of HDZ BiH, took office in April this year.

An active member of the FUP, Vlado Ribić, also posed with the flag of the para-state. Also present are active police officers from the MUP of SBK, Ivica Zeko, Ilija Ćorić, and Kristijan Zvirac.

Kristijan Zvirac holds the rank of senior police officer and is currently serving at the Novi Travnik Police Station. Ilija Ćorić holds the rank of police officer. He has been employed at the Novi Travnik Police Station of the MUP of SBK since July 19, 2021. In the same period, Ivica Zeko is also employed at the MUP of SBK, Novi Travnik Police Station. He also holds the rank of police officer.

Miroslav Sabelja, an MTS officer in the MUP of the Central Bosnia Canton, also posed in the photograph with the flag of the MUP of Herceg-Bosna.

In addition to active police officers from the MUP of SBK, several recently retired police officers are also in the photograph. Thus, retired commander of the Novi Travnik Police Station, Jure Jakovčić, posed with the flag of the MUP of HR HB. He retired at the beginning of this year, as did Ratko Bošnjak, retired commander of the Vitez Police Station.

The photograph also shows Zlatan Sučić, a retired police officer who worked in criminal intelligence for years in the MUP of SBK.

According to Istraga's information, this is a traditional gathering of Croatian members of the MUP of SBK who, for the first time this year, displayed a flag that read MUP HR HB.

The Hague Tribunal issued a final verdict against six former political and military leaders of the so-called Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna. Jadranko Prlić, Bruno Stojić, Slobodan Praljak, Milivoj Petković, Valentin Ćorić, and Berislav Pušić had their sentences from the first-instance verdict confirmed, and they were sentenced to a total of 111 years in prison.

Furthermore, the joint criminal enterprise involving the political and military leadership of the Republic of Croatia, with Franjo Tuđman at its head, was confirmed.

Jadranko Prlić, Prime Minister of the so-called Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna, was sentenced to 25 years in prison. Bruno Stojić, Minister of Defense of the so-called Croatian Republic of Herceg-Bosna, was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Milivoj Petković received 20 years, and Valentin Ćorić was sentenced to 16 years in prison. Berislav Pušić was sentenced to ten years in prison.

The trial chamber determined in its first-instance verdict that a "joint criminal enterprise" aimed at the domination of Croats in the area of Herceg-Bosna existed from January 1993. It mentioned the detention of prisoners, forcing them into hard labor, and thousands of prisoners succumbed due to the actions of the HVO.

The appeals chamber determined that there was an international armed conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a state of occupation, and it also confirmed the existence of a Croatian "joint criminal enterprise" with the aim of ethnic cleansing of parts of BiH.

The appeals chamber also confirmed the Trial Chamber's conclusion that from mid-January 1993, the accused were participants in the joint criminal enterprise, with the exception of Pušić, who joined it in April 1993.
