The non-governmental organization Akos will donate between ten and twelve high-pressure washing machines to municipalities in Posavina in the coming days, reports the BH news agency Patria.
The machines, which Akos received from a friendly humanitarian organization from England, will be delivered to the most endangered areas in Posavina, where they will help the local population in cleaning flooded facilities.
Ensar Mulaosmanović, president of Akos, told Patria that this organization, along with its members, has so far collected humanitarian aid and delivered it to endangered persons from flooded areas worth over 100,000 KM. The organization has also provided its premises in Begov Han to displaced persons, accommodating 60 people.
Akos is a non-governmental organization from Sarajevo that most often deals with education, but during the catastrophic floods in BiH, they directed their efforts towards helping flooded areas.
Six member organizations operate within Akos: "Vatan" from Bosanska Krupa, "Most" from Sanski Most, "Put znanja" from Zenica, "Izvor Selsebil" from Živinice, "Svitanje" from Sarajevo, as well as the branch of Svitanje from Konjic.
