If the Government Does Not Pay One Million KM to Heta by Friday, No One Knows What Will Happen to BH Airlines!

The Government of the Federation of BiH at today's session in Mostar did not make a decision on paying one million KM to Heta's account, which is why BH Airlines' account remains blocked, and the fate of the only BH airline is completely uncertain, writes the BH news agency Patria (NAP).

The leasing company Heta blocked the account of the only BH airline, BH Airlines, due to a debt of 16 million KM, which accumulated from 2005 until today, because BH Airlines, after purchasing two aircraft from this leasing company, did not regularly settle its obligations, so Heta unblocked BH Airlines' accounts. To proceed with any negotiations with the owner of BH Airlines, i.e., the Government of the Federation of BiH, they demanded a payment of one million KM by Friday.

The president of the BH Airlines workers' union, Elvis Žiga, said that the workers had hoped the Government would transfer the money to Heta's account, as this promise had been made earlier, but it did not happen.

- No one knows what will happen next with BH Airlines. We all hope for the best. Because it is clear that 95 workers will not allow the company to be shut down. It is difficult, but we have invested too much in the company to give up on it – said Žiga.

From the BH Airlines workers' union, they see the blame for the difficult situation in this company in the Government of the Federation of BiH, because it did not behave responsibly towards them. They claim that the Government did not transfer even five million KM of the money they earned from taxes. If the earned money had been paid to them, the company would not be facing bankruptcy today, writes Patria.
