If you don't have to, don't go out on the streets: Sarajevo once again in fog and smog

Dense fog and smog have once again covered the streets of Sarajevo, writes the BiH news agency Patria.

Due to the current weather conditions and the increase in permissible levels of particulate matter in the air, the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton has declared the First Episode – Alert in Sarajevo Canton.

Experts advise citizens to reduce their movement, especially during morning and evening hours, particularly for at-risk population groups. People with cardiovascular diseases, respiratory system obstructions, convalescents, preschool children, as well as the elderly and pregnant women, should stay at home.

They also appeal to drivers to reduce their vehicle use to a minimum, which particularly applies to owners of older vehicles, reports Patria.
