If the Plenum is the Organizer, Are the Hooligans Theirs Too?

Bosnia and Herzegovina's most renowned conceptual artist Damir Nikšić warns that if the organizers of the Plenum of Citizens in Sarajevo consider themselves also the organizers of the demonstrations in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, then they must also take responsibility for the hooligans who caused enormous material damage on the first day of the demonstrations.

- At the Plenum, some people appear who call on others to block traffic, warning that all citizens who are members of any political party or non-governmental organization must leave the Plenum. If these people already consider themselves organizers or coordinators of the demonstrations, then they must also take responsibility for the damage caused during the demonstrations – Nikšić warned in a statement to the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).

Nikšić called on demonstrators not to destroy or set fire to state property, and to say who incited them to do so on February 7.

- It is not right for children who set fire to buildings to go to prison, while people who consider themselves organizers bear no responsibility for that – Nikšić concludes.
