If others send troops to the borders, BiH should too

(Patria) - Croatia has announced the possibility of sending troops to the border due to the migrant crisis, and the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fahrudin Radončić, stated that, regardless of the laws, Bosnia and Herzegovina has the right to protect itself and defend itself.

"If other countries are deploying troops to their borders, I see no serious reason why BiH should not do the same. We can use the resources of the Armed Forces of BiH for logistics as well, but the key is that, in a very bad scenario for BiH, the Presidency has the unity to deploy the Armed Forces of BiH. Therefore, Bosnia and Herzegovina alone is not prepared to receive 10,000 migrants per day; you know yourselves that we are struggling to cope with the few thousand who are constantly here, and we expect EU countries to be very solidary, very responsible, very firm in their response, and that we will not have a situation where the area of our region, which includes BiH, Montenegro, and Serbia, is considered a part that is not part of the European Union; the response must be pan-European, strong, and I expect it to happen that way," said Radončić. 

Milorad Dodik's stance so far has been that the Armed Forces of BiH cannot be deployed to the border; Radončić has a different view:

"Necessity changes the law. I think we have a legitimate right to use all potentials in defense of our sovereignty, way of life, and our citizens."

He reiterated that Bosnia and Herzegovina does not have the capacity to receive 10,000 migrants per day, as predicted, and emphasized that we are already struggling to cope with the number of migrants we currently have in the country.
