
(Patria) - As part of the "Abstergo" operation conducted by members of the MUP KS Police Administration, searches are being carried out at 15 locations in Sarajevo Canton. One of the targets of the operation is the Assistant Minister for Education for Traffic and Education, and searches are underway at the KS Ministry of Education and Science.
"Several members of the Driving Test Commission, the Assistant for Traffic, and the owner of a driving school in Sarajevo are under investigation by the KS Prosecutor's Office," stated the KS Prosecutor's Office.
The KS Prosecutor's Office accuses them of taking bribes from candidates taking their driving tests.
Documentation is currently being seized at the KS Ministry of Education and Science, and the Prosecutor's Office of KS will provide more details upon completion of the searches.
Previously, the "Abstergo" operation also included MUP KS police officers for accepting bribes.
The operation also included an official of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of KS, as well as several former police officers, Istraga.ba reported earlier.
According to the statement from the KS Prosecutor's Office, the operation codenamed “Abstergo” is aimed at the commission of criminal offenses of “Abuse of Position or Authority” and “Acceptance of Reward or Other Benefit” for influence peddling.
