Operation Start 2: Several individuals undergoing criminal investigation at the Sarajevo Canton MUP Police Administration

(Patria) - Police officers of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Internal Affairs Police Administration, under the supervision of the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, carried out an operational action codenamed "Start II" due to the criminal offense of organized crime and money laundering.

By order of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, searches were conducted at several locations in the Sarajevo Canton area, and Seid Hadžibajrić and Elmedin Karišik, who were also arrested last year as part of the Start operation, were deprived of their liberty. The Sarajevo Canton MUP Police Administration stated that several individuals are undergoing criminal investigation.

Although Hadžibajrić and Karišik were then taken over by the State Prosecutor's Office, they were released.

However, due to the case being handled by the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office, which is related to Ibrahim Hadžibajrić, Alma Destanović, and others, the acting prosecutor, while conducting the investigation, deemed it necessary for them to be deprived of their liberty again and to complete the case.

Searches were carried out at the premises of Plaza group, founded by Elmedin Karišik, as well as Tao House, and the residential property of Seid Hadžibajrić.
