Operation 'Koko II': Three men arrested, marijuana production labs found, drugs worth millions seized

(Patria) - Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the prosecutor of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, carried out an operation codenamed "Koko II" with the aim of documenting unauthorized trafficking of narcotic drugs, as a continuation of operational activities from March of this year.

During searches in the areas of Centar, Ilidža, and Novi Grad, two complete, multi-story, indoor laboratories for growing and producing the narcotic drug marijuana were found, with about 1,000 plants. Also, more than 30 kilograms of dried herbaceous matter – marijuana, about six kilograms of the narcotic drug MDMA, about 400 grams of the narcotic drug speed, seven packets of cocaine, two packages of psilocybin mushrooms, and numerous other items of interest to the investigation were found and seized.

The estimated value of the seized narcotic substances is over one million convertible marks.

Due to reasonable suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs, three men from Sarajevo were deprived of their liberty: T.A. (1996), Dž.J. (1997), and F.R. (1992).

The operation "Koko" is the result of a multi-month investigation by the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton.

The Cantonal Prosecutor's Office confirmed that these three suspects have been handed over to them for further jurisdiction.
