Border Police and RS MoI Operation: Around 40 kg of Skunk Drug Discovered in Trebinje Area

(Patria) - Members of the Trebinje Border Police Unit today at around 12 PM, in the border area of Trebinje municipality, sector A8, discovered around 40 kg of narcotic drug – skunk. In the mentioned area, a Mercedes ML type vehicle, driven by V. M., a BiH citizen, was stopped and inspected.

A detailed inspection of the vehicle revealed three large black travel bags with narcotic drugs in the cargo area. A Fiat Punto vehicle, driven by M. N., a BiH citizen, was acting as a scout vehicle ahead of the aforementioned vehicle.

Due to reasonable suspicion of the criminal offense of Unauthorized Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs under Article 195 of the Criminal Code of BiH, the duty prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, as well as the duty judge of the BiH Court, were informed of the incident. The suspects were deprived of their liberty and a report on the committed criminal offense will be filed against them to the competent prosecutor's office.

The activities of the Trebinje Border Police Unit were carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska, Trebinje Police Department.
