Ajnadžić and Karavelić: We are boycotting an event not dedicated to veterans but to Sefer's promotion

Two wartime commanders of the First Corps of the Army of RBiH, which had the largest zone of responsibility and the largest number of brigades during the aggression against BiH, will not attend the commemoration of the anniversary of the First Corps of the Army of RBiH, which is being held tonight in the Sarajevo Skenderija Hall.

Vahid Karavelić told Patria that he received an invitation, but that it is absurd for him to attend such an event organized by individuals like the Minister for Veterans' Affairs, Faid Hećo, and those who manage him.

- These are principled reasons. I was the wartime commander of the First Corps, I have always attended anniversaries, but this time I am boycotting and will not appear in Skenderija, because in this way I want to draw public attention to the complete neglect of the veteran population shown by these organizers. Therefore, my goal is for my boycott to highlight the difficult situation my former comrades-in-arms, disabled war veterans, and families of martyrs are in, as well as the more than poor performance of Minister Hećo, who has no regard for them nor shows any sensitivity to the problems faced by the best sons of our country - states Karavelić, adding that the event is a pure promotion of the policy of only one political party.

According to our information, Nedžad Ajnadžić will also not appear at the event.

- The invitation has of course arrived, but I do not want to attend a gathering that Minister Hećo has politicized. Instead of it being a commemoration of the heroic struggle of the members of the First Corps, a commemoration of the hardest days of the aggression, it should be an election rally for Sefer Halilović, Hećo's party leader - explained Ajnadžić.
