Aida Hadžialić Named Most Powerful Person of the Future in Sweden

"Success and power are good, and their abuse is bad." With these words, Aida Hadžialić reacted to the decision of the Swedish Central Trade Union Organization (TCO), which declared her the most powerful person of the future, reports the Patria News Agency.

About ten days ago, this was the main news in Sweden and was published on the front pages of all Swedish newspapers.

"Aida has achieved fantastic success since arriving in Sweden. She is a star who has successfully overcome all challenges. She is also a candidate for Prime Minister of Sweden in the future. Regardless of what and where she will do in the future, she will have a central role," announced Eva Nordmark from TCO.

"Bosnia and Herzegovina and its people should be cultured and educated and shape their future in an honest and intellectual way," said Minister Aida Hadžialić for the Swedish media, speaking about her homeland.

Aida Hadžialić came to Sweden with her family as a refugee from her native Foča when she was five years old. She finished high school with the best possible grades and had offers to study at Oxford and Cambridge. She decided to study law at the Swedish University of Lund.

She achieved top results at the university, graduated in 2010, and was immediately elected Deputy Mayor of Halmstad. In October last year, this 28-year-old Bosnian woman was elected a member of the Swedish government and is the youngest minister in the country's history. Her portfolio is the development of high schools and the improvement of science.

"I will work to ensure that Sweden has the best schools in the world, primarily through investment in teachers. All research shows that the key to knowledge and good school results lies with smart teachers," she stated after taking office.
