Ahmetović: The key question for the SDA is how people with legitimacy are outside party bodies

 

Sadik Ahmetović, an SDA delegate in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, said on Face TV that he is not a rebel but a founder of the SDA, but that he has no space to speak within the SDA bodies since he is outside them for the first time since the party's founding, Patria reports.

- The key question for the SDA is how people with legitimacy are outside party bodies. People who have received the trust of citizens are not within the party. Since the last party Congress, there have been humiliations on several occasions. For example, when the Main Board was elected, I received only 12 votes, but 7,000 votes in the part of Bosnia and Herzegovina where very few Bosniaks live - Ahmetović pointed out.

He added that he feels values have been disrupted and that people who publicly express their opinion, which is useful for the SDA, are not in the foreground, but rather those who follow views that sometimes deviate from what was once the policy of the SDA.

Regarding Senad Hadžifejzović's observation that "one gets the impression that this is a party where a person cannot utter a word," Ahmetović says:

- I do not attend party body meetings, but I know that recently there have been heated discussions on topics important for the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and those positions were shaped to the best possible stance at that moment, but I don't know how everything functions - added Ahmetović.

A meeting between Ahmetović and Izetbegović was supposed to be held recently, but the meeting was cancelled.

- We spoke and exchanged a few messages. I had information that the president of the Regional Committee, Dževad Mahmutović, somewhere in Tuzla, in a conversation with some journalists, said that what comes in writing from Srebrenica does not reach Izetbegović, but that he throws it in the trash and that he will personally expel me from the party - Ahmetović pointed out and added:
There were several important letters, sent by newly elected councilors. I received information that Izetbegović did not receive those letters, so that's why I wanted to talk to him - added Ahmetović, noting that some kind of wall has arisen that he does not understand.

Ahmetović emphasizes that Izetbegović must listen to more sides, that Srebrenica must be a priority, and that he received a promise that meetings would take place.

He stated that all political parties that nominated Ćamil Duraković for the position of municipal mayor are responsible for the political decline of Srebrenica, but that he will talk about individuals from the SDA who are to blame.

The president of the Municipal Organization, the president of the Regional Committee, and the vice-president of the party who comes from Podrinje cannot escape responsibility - Ahmetović pointed out.

Hadžifejzović asked Ahmetović four times whether Izetbegović was at fault, but Ahmetović did not answer directly, so Hadžifejzović concluded that there was no reason for rebellion.

- If President Izetbegović does not sanction those who reported to him that the election victory would be the same as last time - and that is a Bosniak mayor, then he must bear his political responsibility, because he does not accept that Srebrenica be viewed in an impartial way and that individuals are not protected for the sake of their survival in political positions - added Ahmetović.
