Ahmetović: Next year we can celebrate Independence Day in Srebrenica much louder

BiH Parliament member Sadik Ahmetović told Patria that next year Bosnia and Herzegovina's Independence Day can be celebrated much louder in Srebrenica, if Bosniaks show a little more wisdom and patriotism.

- In Srebrenica, a good foundation has been created; in this city there is more and more of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosniaks are returning to their homes. Young people from this part of the country now need to be offered jobs, investments, infrastructure, so that they feel that the state for which their fathers gave their lives cares about them. They will then have reasons to stay on their properties – Ahmetović said for Patria. 

- If Bosniaks manage to keep the younger generations in eastern Bosnia, it will be a great victory for the patriots of this country. And I see no reason why we could not do that – Ahmetović added.

BiH Independence Day in Srebrenica was marked by laying flowers at the memorial in Potočari, Patria reports. (aa)
