
(Patria) - In accordance with Article 91, paragraph 2 of the Water Law, based on the meteorological forecast issued by the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of BiH, and after analyzing available data, the Adriatic Sea Water Agency has issued a notice on the forecast of an extraordinary hydrological situation for the Herzegovina region.
In the Adriatic Sea basin, due to the announced heavy rainfall (up to 60 liters for the Herzegovina region), there is a possibility of increased water levels, and local occurrences of flash floods and urban floods, the notice states.
The time interval for which the warning is issued: August 29 from 5 PM to August 30 until 10 PM.
All information on current water levels from all hydrological stations in the Adriatic Sea water basin is available on the website of the Adriatic Sea Water Agency Mostar: www.jadran.ba.
All activities related to monitoring and informing about the current hydrological situation in the water basin are carried out in accordance with the Federal Operational Plan for Flood Defense, the Agency states.
We remind you that the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued a yellow warning due to heavy showers accompanied by thunderstorms.
