(Patria) - The agency "Pozitiv" from Belgrade has taken full responsibility for what they called an "unintentional mistake during the creation of multimedia content" for the commemoration of the 28th anniversary of "Oluja" on Friday, August 4, in Prijedor, and has apologized to everyone who was harmed and hurt by it.

"We especially apologize to the Serbian Orthodox Church and the leadership of the Republika Srpska and the Republic of Serbia, because the agency "Pozitiv" is solely responsible for this, and we take full responsibility for it. We emphasize that our agency fully bears the responsibility for this mistake. The event organizer had nothing to do with this careless mistake, nor could they have foreseen this situation," the agency stated.

The agency "Pozitiv" also apologized to the Mujkić and Gušo families, as well as to all participants of the commemorative gathering.

The agency "Pozitiv" emphasized that they used the wrong photograph in the preparation of the materials, and that this is a serious oversight for which there is no excuse.

"This oversight was not made with the intention to hurt, belittle, or abuse anyone, and we hope that everyone will accept our sincere apology," the agency stated.

The agency emphasized that they made a big mistake and stand by it, but this cannot and must not be used to further diminish the suffering of the Serbian people.

"This mistake, which we unintentionally made, cannot change the historical fact that in 1995, ethnic cleansing of the Serbian people was carried out in the "Oluja" operation, the largest ethnic cleansing since World War II on European soil. And as the representatives of the state leadership in Prijedor pointed out - we respect all victims, without precedent, but we will never forget all Serbian victims and all surviving Serbs who were expelled from their homes overnight. We express our sincere hope that our mistake, for which those responsible will face consequences, will not be misused to further minimize the pain, sorrow, and misfortune inflicted upon Serbs 28 years ago," the agency stated.

The agency "Pozitiv" once again expressed its deep apologies for the personal oversight, primarily to the individuals in the photograph, and then to everyone who was hurt by it.

We remind you that during the commemoration of the anniversary of "Oluja" in Prijedor, attended by officials from Serbia and the Republika Srpska entity, a photograph taken in Žepa in 1995 appeared on one of the panels.

In addition to all this, the commemoration of this anniversary in Prijedor itself is controversial, given that it is one of the largest sites of suffering for the non-Serb population during the aggression against BiH.

The very choice of this city to honor the Serbian victims of "Oluja" can be considered a provocation.
