Affair "Transcript": Determine if the conversations were legally intercepted

The Joint Defence and Security Commission of BiH at today's session tasked the Ministry of Security of BiH with preparing a report for the Collegium of both houses of the State Parliament regarding the "Transcript" affair, which relates to intercepted conversations concerning certain cases such as Bobar or Pavlović bank, and which incriminate the Chief State Prosecutor Goran Salihović.

First, it is necessary to determine whether the conversations were legally intercepted.

- The Joint Defence and Security Commission requests the Ministry of Security to provide the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH and the Collegiums of the houses with information regarding the latest developments known to the public, concerning the appearance of transcripts of intercepted conversations that seriously incriminate the work and conduct of the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office. We propose that the Collegium of the House of Representatives and the Collegium of the House of Peoples, upon receiving such information, depending on the content, assign a competent commission or form an investigative one regarding the case – says Sifet Podžić, Chairman of the Joint Defence and Security Commission.
