Salafi Affair: SOA Admits Contacts with Witness

(Patria) - The director of the Security and Intelligence Agency (SOA) Daniel Markić denied the claims of BiH Security Minister Dragan Mektić about recruiting Wahhabis in our country, but nevertheless admitted that there were contacts with at least one person known to BiH intelligence officers.

He added that he has not yet received a report from OSA.

"What is happening there is shocking. It is not clear to me, we had cooperation with the Intelligence and Security Agency of BiH (OSA), they are our interlocutor in BiH. I hope this will be clarified. I deny this affair. Until the day the affair was published, I was convinced that we were cooperating well," said Markić.

"We pointed to a person who was suspicious to us, I leave it to them to comment. We spoke with H.Č., we know who he is," said Markić and added that he still has not received a report from OSA, reports Dnevnik.hr.

Asked whether he fears radical right-wing extremism, Markić said he believes that scene is not developed here.
