(Patria) - The accused Ćatić Adnan, born in 1988 in Zenica, in the presence of his lawyer, fully admitted guilt and signed a guilt admission agreement with a prosecutor from the Terrorism Department. Ćatić is accused of terrorism and participation in foreign battlefields.
The accused was extradited to the BiH judiciary from Turkey at the end of last year, after which the BiH Prosecutor's Office filed and confirmed an indictment against him. Upon reviewing the indictment and evidence collected against him by the prosecution and partner law enforcement agencies, the accused decided on a plea agreement.
After signing the agreement, the positions of the prosecution and the defense regarding the agreement were presented in the courtroom of the BiH Court, by which a prison sentence of 3 years was proposed for the accused.
The proposed sentence is in accordance with the accused's role and responsibility, as well as with the assessment of the deradicalization process conducted for individuals who were connected to terrorism or presence in foreign battlefields.
After considering the agreement, the BiH Court accepted the plea agreement and sentenced the accused to a prison term of 3 years.
In this way, the case was finally concluded without a trial.
