The US Congress will consider a special resolution supporting even greater assistance from the United States (US) to the flood-affected areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP) has learned.
Namely, Congressman Robert Aderholt, a member of the Defense, Trade and OSCE committees in the US Congress, has sponsored an OSCE resolution in Congress supporting even stronger US aid following the catastrophic natural disaster that struck BiH.
Aderholt informed participants of the Second Transatlantic Economic Forum, which began today in Washington and is organized by the SAIS Center of Johns Hopkins University, via a video message. He sent special greetings to friends in BiH.
- Our prayers and thoughts are with the thousands who have left their homes due to unprecedented floods in BiH and Serbia. I am glad that the US has delivered significant aid alongside other countries. I am proud to support the OSCE resolution regarding this tragedy - Aderholt stated in his statement, which you can view here.
Influential Congressman Aderholt is last year's recipient of the SAIS recognition for the "Mediterranean Basin" project led by the SAIS Center for Transatlantic Relations and the American-Bosnian Foundation.
