Ademović: The arrival of Donald Trump's son in Banja Luka in any arrangement is a considerable defeat for BiH diplomacy

(Patria) - After the session of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament on April 8 failed because delegates from HDZ and SNSD did not show up, resulting in no quorum, there is still no date for a new session.

The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, Kemal Ademović, stated that he was informed that the Collegium could not be held on April 13 due to Easter. April 20 or 21 was proposed, but this means that the new session of the House of Peoples will be scheduled for the end of April. Ademović told N1 that he would try to reach an agreement with his colleagues at the Collegium and see what the problem is.

"I will put all these laws, on salaries, Moneyval, I expect that session to be successful," Ademović said.

Speaking about state property, Ademović stated that there is no political will to resolve this issue, and that we have examples where lower levels of government are usurping property by violating the rulings of the Constitutional Court of BiH and the Law on Prohibition of Disposal of State Property.

When asked if he had information about the High Representative Christian Schmidt leaving, Ademović said he could not confirm it. On the other hand, he criticized BiH diplomacy, and the criticism could directly refer to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Elmedin Konaković.

"What is quite certain is that this High Representative could be collateral damage of the pressures and established relations with the United States, with the Trump administration by Milorad Dodik, which everyone underestimates and says is paid for. The arrival of a family member, Donald Trump's son, in Banja Luka in any arrangement is a considerable defeat for BiH diplomacy, regardless of whether the arrangement is paid for or bought. Why didn't he come to Sarajevo, the capital city, where the institutions are, where the Presidency is. Those who have communication with the White House should have requested him to come to Sarajevo. As far as I can see, this has very serious implications for BiH, and I think Milorad Dodik's actions, as they are, are being underestimated," Ademović concluded.
