Ademović: Bosniaks are the most endangered in BiH, Nikšić didn't even reply to my message to discuss the BiH Constitutional Court

(Patria) - Member of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly House of Peoples leadership and first deputy president of NIP, Kemal Ademović, explained the infamous "blockade" of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA, as well as the attitude of the "Troika" leaders towards the issue of preserving the Constitutional Court of BiH. His calls for discussion on this and other topics have not even been answered.

Ademović explained the entire situation on his Facebook profile, and yesterday, after an urgent session of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA, where numerous items and agreements from the Berlin Process were adopted, he also addressed journalists. While the US Embassy blames the Bosniak Caucus for the blockade of the House of Peoples of the BiH PA, they obviously forget that the Bosniak Caucus attended every urgent session and adopted everything necessary for the normal functioning of the state, state, and judicial institutions.

"The fact is that there is a standstill regarding the 14th regular session of the House of Peoples, which was adjourned. However, the Rules of Procedure only state that a session can be adjourned for one hour, and that the Speaker of the House is obliged to ensure a majority within that hour - the Rules of Procedure say nothing further. It hasn't resolved that. I convened an urgent session of the House at that time, I proposed amendments to the Rules of Procedure that would resolve that situation and formally-legally unblock that session, in a way that the disputed law (on the Constitutional Court of BiH) would be considered by the Constitutional-Legal Committee. It would consider whether something is constitutional or unconstitutional. That is very important. And of course, they did not support me. Why? The question arises as to who is blocking here and what is being blocked. There are some games, behind-the-scenes games here. However, I have learned to speak the truth and I am not afraid to say it in front of you journalists, in front of the citizens. Ultimately, I have committed myself, I have taken an oath to do so," said Ademović.

He stated that from that very 14th session, which was never continued, the same item regarding the appointment of the Council of the Communications Regulatory Agency was placed on yesterday's urgent session.

"And that's fine. It concerns the appointment of the Management Board of the CRA Council, and we adopted that item. So, everything is possible when there is a will. I claim that the 15th regular session can also be convened, if there are items, if we have resolved the urgent matters that are urgent and related to the European Commission's report that follows at the end of this month, which is being prepared," said Ademović.

When asked by journalists about Ambassador Murphy's statement, he said that he highly respects him.

"He is truly someone who has always protected the interests of BiH. He has been very principled, and now when it comes to the Bosniak Caucus and me, I think he has acted with principle. The only thing I can fault him for is this - in any review process, it is always good to hear both sides, to hear information from the other side as well, and here I am practically that other side. On the other hand, the unity of Bosniaks when it comes to certain 'red lines' is very important to me, and the Constitutional Court falls into those 'red lines'. I have previously stated in television shows that I am a guardian of the red lines, and that I will insist on it, and that I am ready to give my life for it. I do not change that for any comma," said Ademović.

He stated that he cannot fully believe what Konaković said, that the disputed law on the Constitutional Court will not pass the House of Representatives.

"However, I cannot fully believe that. Why? Because in the past, for example, the Law on Residence passed, which enabled and continued ethnic cleansing in Republika Srpska. After that, we have a drastic decrease in the number of Bosniaks there. After that, we lost the mayoral position in Srebrenica, among other things.
What I can answer to the leaders of the "Troika", which includes Konaković - we exchanged a few messages on this topic. They were not difficult. I asked the leaders of the "Troika", as the only representative of the "Troika" in the House of Peoples, to arrange a meeting in the last few months on several topics, including this one. Someone from them is always unavailable. So he sent me a message, 'arrange it with Nikšić, and I will adapt.' Of course, Nikšić did not even reply to the message this time, although he always replied before. It's like playing telephone," said Ademović.

He stated that his attendance at the session is not enough for a quorum, which consists of three delegates.

"I will try at the next session of the Bosniak Caucus to find a solution and appear at that session. However, I am only one, I am not a quorum. Three are needed for a quorum. So, I can come to the session, but that means nothing, like 'I have fulfilled my obligation.' I don't want that. I care a lot about Bosniaks. Bosniaks are the most endangered category in BiH and they must achieve unity on some key points, important for the survival of both this country and Bosniaks in these areas," he concluded.
