Adem Zolj from the Directorate of Roads buys a vehicle for 60,000 KM

The Director of the Directorate of Roads of Sarajevo Canton, Adem Zolj, plans to procure a motor vehicle costing 60,000 KM, reports the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).
It is surprising that Zolj plans to procure this expensive vehicle at a time when the KS Government is facing a huge budget deficit, and when they plan to cover a huge deficit by long-term and direct borrowing from banks amounting to 130 million marks.

According to the price list from ASA auto from Sarajevo, the latest Passat can be purchased in their showrooms for around 55,000 KM. For the same price, the latest Tiguan SUV model can be purchased. The most expensive Skoda Elegance in Sarajevo showrooms costs around 40,000. 

However, it is evident that none of these vehicles suit Director Zolj's taste, so he decided on a more luxurious, more expensive vehicle option.

Although NAP journalists tried to get more information about what kind of expensive vehicle it is, and whether the Directorate really needs such a vehicle, we were unable to get an answer. Employees told us that Director Adem Zolj is on a trip until next week, and besides him, no one else has the right to communicate with journalists.

Whether Director Zolj's decision to procure this expensive vehicle will actually be realized will be known at the Canton Assembly on March 31, when the Assembly will vote on the proposed KS budget for 2014.
