Abdulah Sidran: Devastating ratio of forces that do not want BiH as a state and those that do

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Abdulah Sidran, writer, screenwriter, academic was a guest on the show Face to Face with Senad Hadžifejzović. When asked why people are silent today, Sidran said that the reasons for silence are not the same now as they were then. 

"The explanations from 1995 until today are not the same, when we, against our will, under the conditions of Dayton, signed a document that makes our state segregationist in its founding act. This is a declassed society," Sidran pointed out and continued:

"I do not want to participate in political life where energy is spent on inter-party conflicts. Whoever enters that world has no time, not even five percent, to deal with the common interest. Who talks about laws. We do not know if the term 'constituent' was deliberately falsified. Our country has three constituent peoples, there are no constituent peoples, BiH constituted them, not they Bosnia. The term 'constituent' should be removed from use. If it is accepted that these three peoples constituted Bosnia, then I consider Emerik Blum more deserving of that, and he is a member of another people. There are no constituent peoples, there are citizens," says the academic.

Do you see that unit defending BiH?

"I see that the ratio of forces that do not want the existence of BiH as a state and those that do is catastrophically devastating for this second group. We do not know what is happening under the table, who is trading what... Sometimes it seems like it is 3:0 against BiH, some concessions are made, and we do not understand the necessity of making such concessions. Reconciliation of peoples cannot be achieved if war policy is not changed, we have not received any evidence whether that war ideology has stopped..." said Sidran.

The academic said that the state is dying, but that only its repressive apparatus functions.

"If someone is an idiot, you should tell them they are an idiot and remove them from public affairs. Those problems cannot be more important than hunger, unemployment, and chaos. I would be happy if the entire gay parade went to those fighters who are striking for their minimal rights and if they, as a sensitive group, said: dear fighters and miners, we are on your side and let us fight together against this system," said Sidran.

Sidran stated that if one compared the level of employment, ownership of apartments, cars, houses, the degree of independent decision-making, without anyone having a veto right from the outside to prevent it, it would be established that one political group here drastically lies about its endangerment.

"All our ethnic groups are primarily endangered by ethnonational leaderships."

"Can anyone stop Čović, if he chose a waitress from a hotel in Neum and appointed her as an ambassador, what force can stop him?! Where is the endangerment then?

In Sarajevo today there are more Serbs than there were before the war. 

"The administrative structure of Sarajevo as it is today was made by them with their aggressive will and the motto that we cannot live together. If they deal with numbers, today there are more of them than before the war, if you respect the then structure," concluded Sidran.

The academic said that Serbia is not a guarantor of the Dayton Peace Agreement, but rather a witness.
