Abdulah Sidran: Mayor Jasmin Imamović is leaving!

Don't get ahead of yourselves, Tuzla comrades!

Our backs have carried all sorts of dictators, and in Sarajevo, your joy is 100% understandable. We hear very well what the Tuzla vox populi is saying:

'The vast majority of Tuzla residents would be overjoyed if he became the president of SDP and went to Sarajevo!'

We read with our own eyes, exactly like that on social media, as the voice of the people, says Damir Sirćo from Tuzla. That's okay, for example, but we really don't like that you are sending us to Sarajevo a man about whom you write that he is the 'head of a criminal holding company in the Tuzla city administration'. So why would we want him and someone like him? What will we do tomorrow if he gets arrested? You loudly trumpet the story of seven criminal charges against him languishing in the drawers of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, which is why you've also screwed the nickname 'Merkator' onto his forehead – and now you've decided to send him to us, to Sarajevo!? Damn it. Why didn't you finish the job with him yourselves? When you get beaten in the elections like chicks – you start lamenting: we can't beat him because he is in the Municipal Administration and has personally hired so many people in city public companies – that he is a voting machine that cannot be defeated. His people - his votes. The job is done before it even began.

Well, he can't play that card in Sarajevo! It's taken! Zlaja has it covered. It's taken! Nermin has it covered. Thank you very much. Let him not come. We don't need him. We don't need him in power or in opposition – we don't need him anywhere. We have plenty of those, for export!

Admittedly, perhaps things are more complicated than they seem at first glance. Perhaps some bigger mind has gotten involved in all of this!? Perhaps someone has incorporated a malicious idea into this candidacy endeavor to finish off and permanently remove the remnants of the former League of Communists from the political scene!? Nothing is impossible.

But – whatever it is – don't, dear Tuzla residents, get ahead of yourselves! The candidacy of your mayor for the position of SDP BiH president is a done deal, but – as the Russians say: the chicks are counted in the fall!

First and foremost, with that candidacy, if we are to be honest, not even a quarter of the job is done. Second and second, we have learned the rule: Whoever holds power in Bosnia, has a way to keep it! You don't think Nermin Nikšić will sit idly by, do you? Third and third: nobody in Sarajevo wants your Jasmin!

There you have him, as you've dealt with him until now, deal with him from now on!
