A, TROJKA Dodik and Čović Agree on Adoption of BiH Budget

A meeting of delegations from SNSD and HDZ BiH was held in Banja Luka, which Milorad Dodik described as extensive and precise. The most striking thing, apart from the insults directed at Christian Schmidt, is the message that Dodik and Čović have agreed on the Budget. How they did this without an agreement with the parties of the Troika remains to be seen.

“We agreed to proceed with the BiH budget, to hold a session of the Fiscal Council and establish a framework, the Council of Ministers will support this. We are not in favor of stopping processes. We also discussed certain personnel issues. We conveyed the position that for us, the state does not exist as a term or as a topic. The RS has a clear stance, state property does not exist,” said Dodik.

He added that they completed an important task today, and that the RS will not block any project in the Federation of BiH.

“We have just given consent for the Southern Interconnection. We agree that the Council of Ministers should give consent for the Southern Interconnection. We will continue to be partners until the elections and after. We will maintain our partnership; it is not against anyone, it is against certain parties and policies. We have problems with the opposition as well, Čović has problems with his opposition. I expect the victory of SNSD, we are confident that HDZ will also win,” said Dodik.

Čović called the conversation constructive and added that the BiH Budget should be put into procedure.

“The partnership is at a very good level,” said Čović, adding that talks will continue.

When asked about the departure of Christian Schmidt, Dodik said: “That cretin should never have come here; he left political garbage behind him.”

Čović said they spoke with Schmidt and stated that domestic politicians must take responsibility.

“Based on what I have heard, Mr. Schmidt is not considering a quick departure, but ultimately others decide that. For us, the most important thing is that we function, that we do not pursue alibi politics and that someone makes decisions on our behalf,” said Čović.

Dodik said that the EU path is a pretext for the centralization of BiH.

“Whether it is called the Growth Plan or the path to the abyss, it will not have our support,” said Dodik, adding that they have not received money from the EU for years and have no problems.

“These are loans, we don't need them,” said Dodik.
