The media today published the names of SDA ministers who will sit in the Government of Sarajevo Canton, writes the Patria news agency. Some of the names are almost unknown to the public, so we bring their biographies, which some cannot be proud of. Almost half of the members of the Executive Board of the SCA Canton Committee (28 members), except for Čedomir Lukić, have almost never heard of the future ministers.
Ministry of Finance – Jasmin Halebić
Jasmin Halebić is the dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Zenica, and he studied in Iran for many years. Namely, from 1997 to 2001, he studied and graduated from the National University of Iran, majoring in Business Economics. From 2001 to 2003, he earned his master's degree at the University of Tehran, majoring in Economic Development and Planning, while he received his doctorate in 2009 at the University of Zenica. He earned his doctorate in institutional economics, economic development, macroeconomics, microeconomics. From 2004 to 2006, he worked as the head of accounting at the General Gymnasium of the Central Bosnia Canton, and from 2006 to 2010, he served as a senior assistant at the University of Zenica, Faculty of Economics, after which he was appointed dean.
He is the author of numerous scientific papers published in scientific journals and symposia. Mahir Dedić from Ilijaš, otherwise vice-president of the SCA Canton Committee Sarajevo, is most responsible for Halebić becoming a minister in the Government of Sarajevo Canton.
Ministry of Transport – Mujo Fišo
The new minister of transport will be Mujo Fišo, a doctor of economic sciences who graduated in September 2007 from the Faculty of Business Economics Laktaši/Banja Luka. Fišo is also a lecturer at the International University of Travnik, and is the director of the public utility company Komunalac from Hadžići.
From September 15, 2011, he was appointed a member of the Management Board of the Public Institution Faculty of Economics in Sarajevo. Eldar Čomor, a representative in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton and president of the SCA Municipal Board Hadžići, supported the idea of Fišo becoming a minister.
Ministry of Education – Elvir Kazazović
Kazazović is a doctor of science, and he received this title at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in Sarajevo. He is currently a councilor in the Ilidža Municipal Council. He became known after photographs were published showing him skiing in Switzerland with the Mayor of Ilidža Municipality, Senaid Memić. Incidentally, this candidate was most supported by Fikret Prevljak.
Ministry of Economy – Muharem Šabić
Šabić is a former candidate for the mandate holder of Sarajevo Canton, but he was outmaneuvered in this race by Elmedin Konaković. Šabić is a lecturer of several subjects at the Faculty of Transport and Communications at the University of Sarajevo. Šabić is also the technical director of the company BH Airlines. Earlier, specifically in 2012, Šabić was one of the candidates for minister of transport in Sarajevo Canton, but he did not hold that position. A heated debate took place regarding Šabić, because it was inconceivable to some members of the SCA Canton Committee that, instead of the Ministry of Transport, for which he is educated, he would lead the economy of Sarajevo Canton, which is on its last legs.
Ministry of Public Utilities – Senad Hasanspahić
Hasanspahić is the assistant to the mayor of Vogošća Municipality, head of the Service for Veterans and Disability, Social Protection, Health, and Displaced Persons, and president of the Municipal Operational Election Headquarters Senad Hasanspahić SDA. Given that Hasanspahić is from Vogošća, it can be concluded that Asim Sarajlić „honored“ Senad with a ministerial chair.
Ministry of Spatial Planning – Čedomir Lukić
Lukić will continue to perform the function of minister of spatial planning. He graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning in Sarajevo in 1979. In his professional career, he worked at “JAVOR” Sarajevo where he served as an architectural technician in 1975. At the „Urban Planning Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina“ he was an urban planner-designer in 1979, responsible urban planner-designer in 1981, and technical manager in 1989. In the cabinet of the Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton in 2004, he was an advisor for integrated spatial management. In 2007, he was the minister of housing policy of Sarajevo Canton.
The Democratic Front has still not made a final decision on who will be the new ministers in the Government of Sarajevo Canton, but it is speculated that Predrag Kurteš, the current minister of interior affairs of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, could remain in the portfolio, but at the level of Sarajevo Canton. At the head of the Ministry of Health will most likely be Milan Mandilović, a long-time doctor at the General Hospital „Abdulah Nakaš“.
The DF will likely propose Emira Tanović-Mikulec for the head of the Ministry of Social Policy, Labor, Displaced Persons and Refugees, and will propose Adnan Podža for the head of the Ministry of Culture and Sports. When it comes to the Ministry of Justice, the name of the new minister is not yet known. At the head of the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs will most likely remain Faid Hećo from the BPS.
