412,000 BAM for support to cultural institutions of significance for BiH

(Patria) - Minister of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton Mirvad Kurić signed today cooperation agreements with the directors of six cultural institutions of significance for BiH: Mirsad Sijarić, Elma Hašimbegović, Straja Krsmanović, Elma Hašimbegović, Devlet Filipović, Šejla Šehabović and Sakib Pleho.

The total value of the agreements is 412,000 BAM, which will be allocated for the work of the National Museum of BiH, the Historical Museum of BiH, the Art Gallery of BiH, the Cinematheque of BiH, the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts of BiH, and the Library for the Blind and Visually Impaired in BiH.

“This is continuous support that the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton provides to these important institutions. We will try to secure additional funds for these institutions through the budget revision for 2019, and on this occasion I call on other levels of government to give their maximum support to their work,” Minister Kurić pointed out on this occasion.

Director of the Museum of Literature and Performing Arts of BiH Šejla Šehabović said that these six cultural institutions have been facing various problems for a long time, but that the situation is alleviated by the fact that in this ministry they have a partner whose support they can always count on.
