300 million KM from "Elektroprijenos" will be operational by April 10th

After the amendments to the Law on Elektroprijenos were confirmed by the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliament, the company is accelerating preparations for the Management Board session, which will be held on Friday, March 21st. At this session, executive directors are expected to be appointed, which will be possible if the shareholders, the Government of FBiH and RS, come with proposals, confirmed the General Director of "Elektroprijenos", Matan Žarić, for the BiH news agency Patria.

Otherwise, the law amendments relate to the deletion of the "ten years" provision, which means that the accumulated profit of 300 million can be distributed earlier. Part of the money will go to the network renovation, and the rest will be distributed to the Owners, i.e., FBiH and RS, which will significantly fill the entity budgets.

Earlier, the Prime Minister of RS, Željka Cvijanović, and the Prime Minister of FBiH, Nermin Nikšić, agreed on the distribution of up to 100 million KM of collected revenue from "Elektroprijenos".

- We are waiting for the law to come into effect, which will be around next Wednesday. Then the Management Board needs to be convened and a decision on profit distribution made, and after that, the Assembly needs to be convened. We expect the money to be operational by April 10th. Then we will start working on the renovation plan – Žarić told NAP.

One of the main goals of the new management and administration will be to increase the company's capacity to be able to spend these funds qualitatively and on time on improving the quality and security of the network in BiH, so an intensified process of hiring professional staff who will be able to realize this investment cycle is expected in the coming period.
