30 YEARS SINCE CRIME WITHOUT PUNISHMENT Commemoration held at the National Theatre: Markale is one of Sarajevo's wounds

(Patria) - Numerous delegations from all levels of government today laid flowers at the memorial on Markale Market Square, marking the 30th anniversary of the first massacre in which the aggressor killed 68 citizens of Sarajevo, and severely and lightly wounded 144 people.

Flowers were laid by family members, survivors, and victims' associations, as well as the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željko Komšić, member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Bećirović, state representative Saša Magazinović, a delegation of the Federal Parliament, vice presidents of the Federation of BiH, a delegation of the Government of FBiH, a delegation of the Government and Assembly of KS, delegations of municipal councils, party delegations...

A joint commemoration session of the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton, the City Council of Sarajevo, and the municipal councils of municipalities within the territory of Sarajevo Canton was held at the National Theatre in Sarajevo.

The Assembly of Sarajevo Canton declared February 5 (the day of the massacre of Sarajevo citizens at Markale Market Square) as the Day of Remembrance for all citizens of Sarajevo killed and wounded by the aggressor during the siege period of 1992-1995, which is observed with commemoration programs and appropriate protocol activities.
