19-year-old Berin Talović breeds quails, sells medicinal eggs

Berin Talović, a 19-year-old young man from Sarajevo, did not wait for a job after finishing high school, but decided to breed Japanese quails, writes the BH news agency Patria.

As he tells Patria, this job is not demanding and brings a solid income. This young man says that it is very difficult to find a job in BiH, and only free space is needed for quail breeding.

- I have been breeding quails for a year and a half and I have already gotten used to them and the responsibilities they bring. Breeding Japanese quails is a very nice occupation that does not require much work, strength, or money - says Talović.

He keeps the quails in cages, which he regularly cleans and feeds, and he gets medicinal eggs from them.

- The eggs that quails lay are quite different from ordinary chicken eggs, they are smaller, the color is different, and I sell them very quickly. Parents most often buy them for children with weak immunity or with poor appetite - says Berin.

He also states that athletes buy them because they have high energy value and are natural stimulants.

Today, these eggs are most often used for treating bronchitis, diseases of the nervous system, heart, circulation, liver, and kidneys, and when used as medicine, quail eggs should not be older than ten days.

They can also be used for preventive purposes, to improve the body's condition and physical fitness, and are recommended for growing children, athletes, people who perform heavy physical labor, and the elderly.
