18 illegal migrants from the Una-Sana Canton area placed under supervision at the Immigration Center

BIHAĆ, (Patria) - A joint meeting of uniformed police officers of the Una-Sana Canton and officers of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs was held at the premises of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton, where it was agreed to conduct appropriate operational activities in the area of the city of Bihać and the municipality of Velika Kladuša with the aim of finding migrants who disturb public order and peace, commit criminal offenses, and stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina contrary to positive legal regulations.

- On 06/26/2018, officers of the Service for Foreigners' Affairs and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton, in a joint and coordinated operation in the area of the Una-Sana Canton, the city of Bihać, and the municipality of Velika Kladuša, found 18 illegal migrants - citizens of Palestine, Libya, Algeria, and Syria, prone to committing criminal offenses and disturbing public order and peace.

In the previous period, officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton processed these foreign nationals for frequent violations of public order and peace and for committing several criminal offenses, thereby endangering the safety of citizens in this area.

After locating this group of illegal migrants, inspectors for foreigners carried out appropriate measures and actions at the premises of TC Bihać, and the Service for Foreigners' Affairs imposed expulsion measures on them. The mentioned individuals were placed under supervision at the Immigration Center in Istočno Sarajevo, in order to carry out their removal from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Service for Foreigners' Affairs will continue to conduct activities in the coming period, through coordinated actions with officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton, with the aim of more effectively resolving this issue and contributing to the safety of citizens - it was announced.
