AT 12 PM ON JULY 11th, Sirens will sound in the Sarajevo Canton area on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide

(Patria) - Sirens will sound in the Sarajevo Canton area tomorrow at noon on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide.

The Cantonal Civil Protection Administration of Sarajevo Canton informs citizens that the municipal operational centers of civil protection in the KS area will, via warning signal devices (sirens), emit the "end of danger" signal on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 12:00 PM, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 29th anniversary of the genocide against Bosniaks in Srebrenica.

The "end of danger" signal is a uniform tone lasting 60 seconds.

"We call on citizens to stop if they are on the move during the siren announcement, to stop their vehicle and get out if they are on the road, and in this way pay tribute to the victims of the genocide," states the notice signed by the Director of the Administration, Dženan Brkanić.
