Zvizdić: We did not adopt the decision on interim financing, but there is no fear of blockades

(Patria) - Denis Zvizdić, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated after the session of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina that they spent the most time on the agenda item concerning illegal migration. A series of conclusions were adopted, including a request sent to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina to allow the engagement of engineering units to block locations where migrants illegally cross into Bosnia and Herzegovina. There are 15 such locations, of which 10 are the most frequented.

Additionally, Zvizdić clarified that the Decision on interim financing was not adopted because Vjekoslav Bevanda, the Minister of Finance, did not attend the session.

"It is practice that when the minister is absent, all agenda items related to that ministry are removed from the agenda. I want to reassure those who think there will be a halt in financing. That will not happen, as it is regulated by the Constitution; there can be no blockade in the work and financing of the budget institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. That is a constitutional principle," said Zvizdić, adding that they adopted decisions for the previous two quarters and should adopt one for this quarter at the next session.

"We all want to work in accordance with the Constitution and the Law. I believe no one is ready, for political reasons, to violate the Constitution and the Law," Zvizdić was clear.
