SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić said after the Council session that they adopted important points concerning the financing of some important projects for BiH.
"We also adopted the decision on temporary financing, and the State Prison will start operating. The prison will start operating on August 1, 2019. The administrative structure will be established then, and the process of hiring the necessary staff will begin. We also had a revised strategy for prosecuting war crimes before us. The proposal was not adopted because there was no revision or incorporation of some conclusions that identified shortcomings. It is unclear what happened with the 850 cases from 'Category A', how many indictments were filed, and what happened to them," Zvizdić stated.
Zvizdić will soon take over as the Speaker of the House of Representatives of BiH and said that, in accordance with the law, he must hold that position.
"Until the appointment of executive functions, we must have a dual role. If the Presidency of BiH sends the name of the new prime minister-designate, we will have solved the problem. I am interested in why the elected bodies are not working," Zvizdić said.
He stated that the story about blocking BiH started with Milorad Dodik and was unnecessary.
"Minister Bevanda was absent from several sessions for private reasons. If some are trying to achieve a new parliamentary majority in this way, they will not succeed. Why is the BiH Parliament not working, with 30 laws pending? Why is the focus on appointing the Council of Ministers, and not on the part that has been constituted?" Zvizdić concluded.
