The first “house of the future” in BiH, which significantly reduces energy consumption through its superior thermal insulation and use of renewable energy sources, was built in Kovači, and was ceremonially opened today, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.
The passive house will serve as a demonstration example for anyone who wants to see what it looks like and possibly decide on this type of construction.
The house was built by the Stari Grad Municipality, which provided the location and issued the necessary permits, and the company Promo d.o.o., which has so far built a number of such low-energy buildings in many European countries, but not in our country, making Stari Grad Municipality the first to boast the so-called “house of the future”.
Construction of the passive house began in May this year, and the entire interior has been furnished, with the house equipped with the latest furniture. The total area of the passive house is about 103 square meters.
The director of the company "Promo" from Donji Vakuf, Kemal Čolak, expressed satisfaction with this project and said that this is also their marketing in Sarajevo.
